Job Responsibilities:
- Produce general administrative support to the director of communications and communications team.
- Aid in processing incoming requests for information, interviews or other communications-related queries.
- Circulate media material for use regionally and online,
- Support with the administration of event management for high-profile university events involving senior management and DCU President.
- Coordinate appointments for university personnel who require media training.
- Organize media interviews between DCU personnel and regional media.
- Order and circulate relevant media coverage on a daily basis.
- Source stock photography and licensed images.
- Develop home and news pages of DCU website.
Job Requirements:
- Effective experience in providing administrative support to a team and the director of a function.
- Proficient experience in a frontline customer service environment, in third level or education.
- Expert knowledge of supporting multiple units or departments.
- Solid copywriting skills (spelling, grammar, proof-reading).
- Sound IT skills and a proven ability to work with new systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- flexibility and experience of working as part of a team and, when required, independently.
- Familiarity with event coordination.
- Good judgment and the ability to react to situations as required.
