Social Media & Digital Specialist

THP is looking for a Social Media & Digital Specialist in Toronto, Canada. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as the primary point of contact and account lead for customer programs.
  • Improve and oversee the implementation of integrated social media strategies and roadmaps including content and advertising strategies, and program KPIs.
  • Assure the flawless execution of customer programs by championing exceptional quality in every aspect of program delivery and internal/external communication, including supporting junior team members and ensuring program KPIs are being met and exceeded.
  • Demonstrate effective knowledge of social media innovations, technology/digital trends and customers’ target consumers, and reviews evaluate and reports on client social media analytics and performance to continuously improve results and meet program KPIs.
  • Manage digital ad buying, optimization and reporting across a number of social and digital channels.
  • Head the planning and execution of other digital/communications-based programming such as influencer marketing, email programs, Messenger Bots, and so on.
  • Operate as a resource for the team on social media/digital advertising best practices.
  • Proactively support sales activity on customer programs, including up-­selling, cross-­selling and customer program kick-offs and renewals.
  • Promote accurate asset trackers and invoices based on approved program budgets.
  • Effectively oversee junior team members, providing real-time constructive and positive feedback.
  • Coordinate with necessary third-­party agencies/vendors to carry out customer strategies on time and budget.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 4 years in digital, social media and/or public relations preferably in the food or related consumer goods industry (B2B and B2C).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to deliver high quality, creative work and multi-­task and manage deadlines.
  • Effective experience developing strategic recommendations/proposals for communications and social media activations (paid/organic), with a passion for the creation of meaningful, relevant and engaging content and strong KPIs.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of social media, digital and CRM platforms and best practices, with a passion for staying current on communications, social and content marketing trends.
  • Proficient experience and/or specializes with SEO/SEM.
  • Familiarity with email marketing strategy, execution and deployment.
  • Proven experience in strategic and creative planning for e-commerce platforms like Amazon.
  • Google Adwords Certification is a bonus.
  • Proven track record in social measurement tools (ex. Sprout Social, native platform business/ad managers, etc.) and paid social media advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, Google Analytics/Adwords (SEO/SEM).
  • Solid experience accurately reporting and analyzing numbers and metrics.
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively cross-­department and communicate with management.
  • Solution-oriented with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach.
  • Exceptionally results-driven, responsible and accountable.
  • Ability to liaise with clients in a professional manner.
