Social Media Manager

Movember Foundation is looking for a Social Media Manager in Los Angeles, United States. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead channel strategy across Movember’s North American/global social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and other similar community sites.
  • Cooperate in the development and implementation of distribution strategy for all editorial content for Movember’s social media and owned channels (Movember.com and EDM).
  • Direct news section of Movember.com.
  • Promote clear strategies and KPI’s for social channels to align with specific campaign objectives- reach, awareness, traffic, engagement, and conversion.
  • Design, curate and maintain a monthly content calendar for key social channels.
  • Review social analytics to develop an insights-driven social media content strategy and audience development growth plan to achieve monthly targets.
  • Share community activities, conversation trends, and sentiment to broader Marketing teams to influence short and long term strategy and activities.
  • Responsible for brand tone and voice of our platforms.
  • Oversee social trends, influencers and relevant news, to determine opportune times to engage in the social conversation as it relates to the Movember brand.
  • Recognize social influencers to follow and interact with to grow Movember’s brand visibility, feeding back potential partnership opportunities to local PR managers.
  • Cooperate with a team of Digital Producers, PR Managers and Marketing Leads to pitch & create platform-specific content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Provide vertical video content for Instagram Stories and IGTV.
  • Research and create social tiles around Movember-related topics and campaigns.
  • Present video stories captured during live events, optimized for each social media channel.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing specialist on best practices for boosting posts and complementing our digital advertising strategy.
  • Balance time between the needs of US and Canadian markets, balancing multiple projects and key stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Operate closely with US and Canadian partnership teams to bring to life multi-channel distribution plans for brand partners
  • Lead social media and content calendar with Movember’s corporate partners and create and/or post shareable videos, news articles and images to help optimize those relationships.
  • Accountable for writing social copy, considering the audience, keywords, regional language differences, trending hashtags, and tagging.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in large reach Social Media channel management (planning and execution), with a proven track record of delivering against KPIs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, as well as any emerging platforms), trends, platform changes, and experience in end to end content development, implementation and measurement.
  • Solid understanding of the relationship between paid and organic social media initiatives.
  • Effective experience in social listening tools, audience profile creation, web traffic analysis (through GA360), and insights reporting.
  • Proven track record in performance-based social media marketing.
  • Proficient experience in developing loyal audiences through social media.
  • Expert knowledge of brand management.
  • Bringing to life multi-channel distribution plans for brand partners.
