Job Responsibilities:

• Examine and translate requirements and user needs into intuitive, implementable designs.
• Manage user research, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, and competitor research.
• Improve user workflow diagrams, storyboards, wireframes, and mockups for concept development and presentation.
• Recognize and troubleshoot usability problems and pain points, and collaborate with other members of the design team to determine solutions.
• Liaise and work with clients to understand their requirements and goals.
• Operate closely with the development team to gain insight about technical feasibility.
• Promote and enforce UX interaction and usability guidelines, as well as style guides.
• Responsibke fro design solutions from conceptualization to implementation.
• Design visual assets for D3’s web and mobile applications as needed.
• Plan and enforce a consistent D3-branded look and feel within the product, as well as consistent client branding in all client-facing projects.
• Juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 or more years of UX/UI design experience.
• Effective experience in communicating and engaging with business clients to determine their design requirements.
• Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Solid visual design and typography skills.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as at least one wireframing or prototyping design tools such as Axure, Sketch, Balsamiq, or iRise.
• Proficient experience with HTML and CSS is strongly preferred; familiarity with JavaScript (and libraries such as jQuery and Kendo UI) is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with clients.
• Online portfolio with examples of design projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks with attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a team.
