Job Responsibilities:

• Support existing Surrey Place websites.
• Improve new websites that adhere to various provincial and Surrey Place standards.
• Cooperate with our marketing and communications department to ensure the uptake and branding of websites is in line with internal standards.
• Lead content updates as approved and put forth by marketing and communications.
• Run projects with lots of autonomy.

Job Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in programming or web development.
• Effective experience with UX/UI design processes.
• Demonstrated understanding of WCAG 2.1 and its implementation, as well as updating and maintaining websites for AODA and PHIPA compliance.
• Proficient experience developing and maintaining WordPress sites, including updating and managing WordPress Plugins.
• Proven track record in client-side technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and Javascript.
• Familiarity with SEO and Google Analytics.
• Strong experience in maintaining websites and web-based applications across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile) and multiple browsers.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, processes and workflows, and work with change management and ticketing systems.
