Content Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Explore ideas and facts pertinent to the type of content and topic assigned.
  • Improve ideas derived from online and offline research.
  • Communicate and coordinate with associates within the company for internal stories to be included as content for newsletters.
  • Draft fresh content based on research and brainstorming with the team for internal and external publications.
  • Promote engaging content for blogs, mailers, posters and social media to entice and engage the audience.
  • Correct content for errors or additions and ensure that content is written per instructions.
  • Assure that web page and intranet content is edited and updated.
  • Print, edit and proofread content created by other content writers to provide detailed feedback.
  • Secure that content contains sufficient keywords for search engine optimization.
  • Direct the user-generated content on social media sites.
  • Maintain the company’s social media presence.
  • Produce content for newspapers and magazines keeping in mind the general structure and sentiment of the readers.
  • Advance prototypes and storyboards using a multitude of media creation and graphics editing tools.
  • Edit, paraphrase or write content from scratch depending on specific instructions provided in the work order.
  • Participate to company’s social media presence with content.
  • Letter content for newspapers and magazines keeping in mind the general structure and sentiment of the readers as and when required.
  • Cooperate with design agency as required for newsletter, poster, emailer layout and planning.
  • Collaborate with PR agency for external articles, interviews and white papers.
  • Operate with the team for any other projects that are being handled by the function.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communication and preferred major in journalism, PR and social media content.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in business content writing.
  • Proven Powerpoint presentation and MS Excel skills.
  • Proficient working experience with B2B company will be preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Effective IT skills of MS office and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Indian media.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and translate technical inputs into simple content.
