Job Responsibilities:

• Transform and ensure the technical feasibility of specifications and mockups into fully functional Magento themes.
• Performance optimization and ensuring scalability of front-end build.
• Cooperate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Ongoing improve and support of features on existing client sites.

Job Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of HTML & CSS.
• Exposure to CSS pre-processors such as LESS and SASS.
• Expert knowledge of Javascript is an essential, previous experience with jQuery & prototype is a bonus.
• Demonstrated understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Deep knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
• Familiarity with Photoshop is a bonus.
• Effective experience with battling cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient experience with version control tools, such as Git & Mercurial.
• Proven track record in SEO principles and ensuring that sites will adhere to them (practical experience implementing microdata is a plus!).
• Outstanding experience working with Unix Terminal is a bonus.
• Sound understanding of responsive design.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• An ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively with other team members.
