Software Engineer III

F5 Networks is looking for a Software Engineer III in Hyderabad, India. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system and performance testing of new products and new releases to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
  • Cooperate with team members and technical leads to develop performance test plans.
  • Interpret test results and identify performance issues. Work with development teams to assist in bug resolution.
  • Estimate and recommend improvements to the design of performance test and automation tools.
  • Perform internal presentations for team members and management.
  • Associate in recruitment activities and assist with the onboarding of new team members.
  • Aid senior engineers and managers in project planning, scheduling budgeting and tracking activities.
  • Research, investigate and define new test methodologies to improve test efficiency.
  • Accountable for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in a testing environment, preferably in the UNIX environment.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with software test methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of IP networking: routing, switching, and network standards from layer 1 on up through the transport and applications layers.
  • Demonstarted understanding of SSL is a plus.
  • Effective experience in developing performance tests for system benchmarking.
  • Solid Coding skills in Python, or similar language.
  • Sound technical problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrates emerging leadership qualities; leads small group interaction.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to do a technical ‘deep dive’ and serve as a subject matter expert in at least one functional area of the product.
