The Founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, announced on his Facebook account that the Facebook community now has more than 2.5 billion people using at least one of its apps each month.
Flashback to June 27th, 2017, when Facebook celebrated reaching 2 billion Facebook users per one month.
This means that Facebook users had expanded by half a billion people in one year only, that’s considered to be a great number and it shows the importance of Facebook apps in the people lives.
Mark also talks about his Facebook team’s efforts to build a safe and enjoyable environment for its communities and what they develope also to solve the Facebook recently problems.
He showcases the new updates they developed recently on their different apps: WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, which includes systems that identified and removed thousands of fake accounts, pages, and groups.
Another tool to make political advertising much more transparent, letting you see who any political or issue ad is targeting, how much they’re spending and more. The Founder and CEO of Facebook, on his post, also talks about the launch of IGTV to help people connect with creators and build a community around videos.
Finally, he talks about expanding their security team, who are working hard to protect Facebook users and prevent any abuse.
