Layla Fabian

LinkedIn is trying to make valuable shifts in its groups’ experience to help users build professional communities across the LinkedIn platform.

Hence, a few days ago, LinkedIn announced on its official blog that they are rolling out the New LinkedIn Groups experience globally for all their users, in order to respond to the users’ feedback, that showcases the importance of providing a shared space where they can chat with other professionals about trends in their industry, New LinkedIn Groups experience enables users to take advantage of all the LinkedIn conversations tools in a seamless, faster way, which makes it easier to participate in groups alongside all of the things they already love to do on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn also points out that they made Groups experience available in the main LinkedIn website and app after rebuilding them from A to Z.

New Groups

New LinkedIn Groups experience provides users with several effective options and advantages, which help them make impactful conversations on the LinkedIn platform, which are:

  1. More engaging conversations: This is one of the New LinkedIn Groups experience features, which enables users to share original videos, multiple images, and other rich embedded media. In addition, the ability to reply to comments and edit their posts and comments.
  2. New group notifications: LinkedIn also launches an additional feature to the New LinkedIn Groups experience, which will notify users when any activity is happening in their groups. It also updates them when someone comments on one of their posts in the group, or when new people request to join a group they manage.
  3. Access anytime, anywhere: This new feature also provides the group admins with the ability to take all group management actions from mobile, such as messaging group members, accepting requests to join, or removing any posts that break group rules.

LinkedIn also announced its coming plan in this way, which will include additional options and features that will join the New LinkedIn Groups experience’s previous advantages. We can list these upcoming features in these below points, as reported by LinkedIn:

  • Easy Navigation to groups: The LinkedIn users will have the ability to find and get to their groups through a navigation panel on the LinkedIn homepage in a simple and rapid way.
  • Keep the conversation going from your LinkedIn Feed: Additionally, they will be able to start and join conversations in their groups right from their main feed. As well as the ability to reply to comments or share an interesting article without having to navigate to their group.
  • Easily discover new groups that match interests: LinkedIn also will enable its users to explore recommended groups based on their network and interests from the “My Network tab” on the desktop.
