As a part of Snapchat’s insights series that showcase what Snapchatters are interested in, where they prefer to go, eat, find entertainment, and shop, and which topics they talk about the most; a few hours ago, Snapchat has published its monthly report that talks about the topics and slang that trended among Snapchatters in August 2018.
The Snapchat monthly report for August’s trending is focusing on the trending topics among Snapchatters in the US, Canada, and across the world.
As explained by SnapChat:
“As summer comes to an end, Snapchatters remember music icon Aretha Franklin, celebrate Eid al-Adha, and stay swae.”
The charts of the Snapchatters trending topics in the US came slightly different from the charts that shape the trending topics among Snapchatters globally. So, it was noted that Eid al-Adha came in second behind National Sister’s Day.
Movies in the US succeeded in shaping the entertainment among the US Snapchatters in August. According to this notable insight. Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” topped the other US Trending Entertainment during this month, then “Slender Man”, “Crazy Rich Asians,” “the novel-turned-movie,” came in next.
When it comes to the Snapchatters trending topics in Canada, it will be noted that the charts are not different from the global trending topics. The celebration of Eid al-Adha also came on top of other trending topics among the Canadian Snapchatters, as similar to other countries around the world.
“They also danced away to headliners Martin Garrix and DJ Snake at the Chasing Summer Festival. And finally, cue the school supplies and after[school activities — it’s back-to-school season!”
