Art Director

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and create exciting content ideas, whilst maintaining our client’s brand requirements, goals, objectives and associated briefs.
  • Operate with and inspire others across the agency to drive up standards of creativity, encouraging others to share and explore their ideas.
  • Produce meticulous attention to detail and provide confident, collaborative and constructive feedback to your colleagues.
  • Promote studio work across clients as and when required, particularly focused on social creative and motion AV.
  • Lead allocated staff, ensuring their welfare, growth and quality of their work via continual appraisal and communication.
  • Cooperate with colleagues to ensure alignment, relevancy and scheduling of goals across teams.
  • Creative consultation with client services and producers from art direction to idea generation and driving creative innovation throughout the business.
  • Drive brainstorms, generating ideas and driving the pitch process for client briefs.
  • Produce content ideas and designs to clients.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, offering advice and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Run your own development and skills to ensure you, and your team, have the versatility and ability to execute all content solutions.
  • Collaborate with producers and client services teams to recommend staff for future projects based on their skills and capabilities.
  • Aid develop the design offering of the agency.

Job Requirements:

  • A background across a number of digital communications disciplines, including, social and media, press and print advertising, video and motion graphics, logos and branding.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a senior designer level.
  • At least 1- year experience of managing staff and their development.
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Suite Software including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • A solid understanding of UX.
  • Demonstarted understanding of Social Strategy.
  • Wide knowledge of the entertainment industry would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Proficient experience with illustration is beneficial, but not essential.
  • An experienced presenter, able to create and sell ideas to peers and clients.
  • Expert knowledge of digital media and evolving online platforms.
  • A portfolio demonstrating outstanding and compelling creative design.
  • Effective experience with motion graphics is essential.
  • Pro-active in approach, and with a genuine understanding of the visual medium.
  • The confidence to creatively assert ideas and the passion to sell ideas to peers and clients.
