Job Responsibilities:
- Define business reporting needs and data requirements through interviews, consultations and document analysis.
- Actively lead the reporting and analytics roadmap and other reporting applications, including mobile applications.
- Estimate the information gathered and distinguish between individual wants and business needs prioritizing accordingly.
- Document manual processes, calculations and business logic within specified reporting artifacts.
- Design reporting mock-ups and high-level conceptual data mapping.
- Create and manage daily reports sent out to business users.
- Work as reporting power user within the business organization providing on-going ad-hoc support.
- Articulate user stories for Development work on in-house applications.
- Translate business needs/wants into new functionality on applications.
- Prioritize stories for developers using the Agile methodology.
- Interpret and prioritize future phases of applications for enhancements.
- Teach all employees on existing and all future applications.
- Analyze current processes and reports to determine future needs for the business.
- Troubleshoot and respond to business users who are having trouble reporting or using the applications.
- Build and maintain documentation related to in-house applications (Training Manuals, security grids, etc).
- Interact with senior management on long term goals and analyze what can be done to provide them what they need from a data and application standpoint.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of business analysis work experience, including business process or reporting analysis.
- Comfortable compiling and analyzing large data sets.
- Effective business analyst experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of media, advertising or sales systems is a plus.
- Proficient experience with business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Business Objects).
- Familiarity with a direct-to-consumer streaming service.
- Solid analytical problem-solving skills; ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation.
- A good listener and open to different points of view.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate with all levels in the Organization, both technical and non-technical.
- Able to understand technical capabilities specifically within reporting.
