Digital Marketing Specialist

Expedia Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist in Vancouver, Canada. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the execution and optimization of email messaging and design, to support lead-generation objectives for online media and retail centers.
  • Manage A/B testing strategy including copy and design optimization while guiding and supporting the email team to drive results.
  • Launch weekly email campaigns according to the national media plan, and individual retail requirements.
  • Promote the digital marketing team in the deployment of campaigns while maintaining consistency and quality assurance.
  • Oversee messaging and design quality assurance throughout the email program.
  • Monthly reporting of post-campaign results, with analysis and recommendations.
  • Enhance and integrate the email marketing program through creative and calculated innovation.
  • Create and deploy national and regional campaigns according to established best practices.
  • Administer A/B testing for email campaigns that target online and retail promotions.
  • Compile and present monthly performance metrics, key findings, and recommendations.
  • Test email templates to ensure they’re optimized across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Draft compelling copy and implement a messaging strategy that enhances appeal and engagement with consumers.
  • Produce quality assurance and testing to ensure flawless execution.
  • Evolve email template design, and reinforce enhancements across the various campaigns.
  • Support email database(s) to ensure list hygiene.
  • Enforce quality assurance measures, prevent related technical issues from re-occurring, and immediately resolve and support any email or program technical issues.
  • Support members of the Digital Marketing Team to align their execution with best practices.
  • Present program support to the retail franchise network, including service inquiries and resource center.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of specialized digital marketing training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an email or digital marketing role.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing strategy and methodology.
  • Effective experience working with enterprise-level marketing tools would be considered an asset (IBM Watson, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Responsys, StrongView).
  • Expert knowledge of email marketing best practices and email legislation (CASL and CAN-SPAM).
  • Demonstarted understanding of HTML with a strong ability to design or modify email template designs and landing pages.
  • A flair for copywriting with the capability to write dedicated consumer, and business-focused messaging.
  • Proficient experience with Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Sound understanding of databases, segmentation, filters, and CRM integration.
  • Deep knowledge of dynamic content, segmentation, and email deliverability.
  • An open communicator that’s capable of challenging the status-quo, and proven ability to drive and implement change, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and write in French and Spanish would be considered an asset.
