Executive Art Producer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate with creatives, account execs and project managers to determine the creative and business objectives of all art and photography specific content related jobs.
  • Represent the agency in a highly professional manner at all times, especially when in the company of clients
  • Support strong working relationships with the creative team, account team, project management team, in addition to the all production groups and other relevant internal bodies to facilitate maximum productivity and efficiency on all jobs
  • Search out and grow vendor relationships to ensure the best possible creative options are presented
  • Aid with the training and development of senior, mid and associate level art producers and coordinators.
  • Design and present production estimates and schedules to all internal and external partners as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production folders and records of all jobs produced for reference and job history.
  • Serve with business affairs lead to maintain and communicate project usage parameters internally and to all necessary partners regularly.
  • Maintain accurate files on servers, updating regularly.
  • Act as a go-to resource for all agency personnel and clients with regard to current photography/illustration/content industry information
  • Continually increase knowledge of all aspects of agency content production, available production resources, technology and industry trends
  • Assist VP/Director, Periscope Studios and other executive producers in the development of internal production processes and capabilities
  • Accountable for recommending photographers, illustrators, content creators, talent and artisans for various projects.
  • Obtain and analyze competitive bids from various production partners to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate production and talent rates to ensure the best possible rate while maintaining a high creative production value.
  • Assure all projects are providing timely and accurate estimates while monitoring budgets throughout the production process.
  • Run with business affairs manager to negotiate talent rates and payments (Non-Union & Union) along with negotiating crew rates, usage and payments.
  • Oversee usage deals on projects and update account teams regularly.
  • Maintain accurate talent and crew records.
  • Check and approve all job invoices for accuracy.
  • Complete POs and invoice reconciliation in a timely manner.
  • Book and manage travel for agency personnel, clients and talent involved in a given production when required.
  • Lead production communication within our agency-wide project management platform.
  • Conduct other duties from time to time to meet the changing needs of the agency.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of photography and illustration production experience.
  • Proven agency art and photography production background.
  • Proficient motion and event production experience a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of photography & illustration negotiations, estimates, rates and usage.
  • Solid leadership skills.
  • Solution-oriented creative problem solver.
  • Demonstarted understanding asset types, file naming and delivery methodology.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Sound presentation skills and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Flexibility with hours and the ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with many personalities.
  • Ability to analyze photography estimates and create detailed budget reports.
