Front-End Web Developer

AdParlor is looking for a Front-End Web Developer in Toronto, Canada. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with the marketing and design teams, cover all aspects of creating and maintaining AdParlor’s B2B websites, adparlor.com, tryblueprints.com, and admocks.adparlor.com.
  • Operate with designers and other team members to build out new sites and pages.
  • Install code snippets and plugins.
  • Lead the development and implementation of website designs from start to finish.
  • Own the technical decisions, strategy, and architecture for sites.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on website utilization statistics.
  • Perform usability and A/B testing for functionality and ease of use.
  • Manage with necessary parties to ensure that the web servers, hardware, and software are operating and configured securely and correctly.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or applicable professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of WordPress development experience.
  • Effective experience manipulating and customizing pre-made WordPress themes.
  • Comfortable adding/troubleshooting various WordPress plugins.
  • Solid HTML, PHP, CSS3, and MySQL knowledge.
  • Expert working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery ideal.
  • Proficient experience building responsive sites.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Deep knowledge of Gutenberg.
  • Comfortable working with InVision.
  • Proven track record in dealing with HubSpot.
  • Demonstarted understanding of Custom Post Types.
  • Comfortable working with a CSS preprocessor, such as Sass or LESS.
  • Strong understanding of basic SEO principles.
  • Sound experience with REST APIs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with/create hard-coded non-WordPress sites.
