Videographer / Editor

Socialfix Media is looking for a Videographer / Editor in New Jersey, United States. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Capture live video and b-roll footage for clients on-location.
  • Utilize stock images, raw footage, static and motion graphics, screen captures, lower thirds, licensed music, voiceover, and sound effects to create unique and engaging videos.
  • Attend in-person video shoots on-location.
  • Make our clients feel comfortable and camera ready. Being on film can be intimidating.
  • Create concepts, storyboards, video outlines, and scripts.
  • Design and develop an audio/visual content for customer videos and stories, internal videos, videos for social media and external promotion, product-focused videos, candidate recruiting videos, interviews, event wrap-ups, and other types of videos.
  • Set deadlines for rough and final drafts according to client expectations.
  • Create scripts, storyboards, and briefs.
  • Build and set a timeline for the milestone project deliverables.
  • Cooperate closely with clients and their project teams to help facilitate content creations.
  • Plan video shoots including scouting, selecting and reserving shoot locations.
  • Improve production schedules for all projects.
  • Keep video equipment in pristine condition.
  • Direct video library.
  • Work closely with the internal team to brainstorm and come up with creative solutions to keep us on the cutting edge of video trends.
  • Research the latest trends in video and editing.
  • Capturing a clean and balanced audio feed, while being aware of ambient noise, room noise, and other outside sources of noise that might be picked up in the background.

Job Requirements:

  • Be extremely organized and have the ability to independently manage a large and constantly growing library of assets.
  • Knowledgeable of best export/encoding practices for delivery across a wide range of channels: Youtube, Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of the latest software trends and plugins that enhance efficiency, creativity and workflow.
  • Effective experience building concepts, storyboards, video outlines, scripts, and other necessary pre-production documents.
  • Adaptable to changing duties.
  • Familiarity with a drone and gimbal are a PLUS
  • Deep knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Proficient experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Proven track record in dealing with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Confident in assessing the needs of a project and determining what blend of assets is needed, from video to motion graphics, etc.
  • Knowledgeable with a wide range of cameras and lenses, from DSLRs to cinema cameras.
  • Able to confidently move between a variety of cameras depending on the project scope and client’s needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Sony DSLR cameras as it pertains to videography and best video practices.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of lighting set-up, whether in a studio or on location.
  • Comfortable recording quality audio and video simultaneously.
  • Must pay very close attention to detail whether it’s a hair out of place, makeup smears, or something in the background that just doesn’t look right.
  • Must be proactive.
