Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for marketing communications writing and content marketing efforts to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention.
- Draft assignments include daily blogging, eBooks, white papers, advertising copy, website content and ongoing marketing communications writing as needed.
- Cooperate across agency functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plans to meet the client business objectives.
- Analyze and understand the client persona, to create content the target audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion.
- Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
- Improve editorial governance so content is consistent with client brand voice, style and tone.
- Write various types of articles on a wide range of topics.
- Produce feedback to other contributors, and editing other writers’ content.
- Participate in long-form content projects such as ebooks and whitepapers.
- Perform analytical projects to improve content strategies/tactics.
- Develop blog subscribers, converting visitors into leads, and expanding our blog’s overall reach.
- Collude with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
- Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or business communications college diploma with a related professional writing focus.
- Effective experience creating content for the web.
- Proficient experience with WordPress, HubSpot, and top social channels.
- Strong project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders.
- Highly productive and able to turn around assignments to schedule.
- An editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
- A passion for continually learning new ways to practice your craft.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, meets deadlines and create engaging content.
