Job Responsibilities:
- In combination with the editorial calendar, write press releases, social media posts and thought leadership pieces to support project milestones, staff speaking engagements and research publications.
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to vet content and ensure its accuracy
- List social media posts using a publishing tool such as (HootSuite).
- Grasp industry trends and advancements, and craft thought leadership articles and social posts to promote.
- Track trends in the web and social media, and offer suggestions on how to best adopt new tools.
- Examine social media performance data either via a native platform (Twitter and Facebook) or third-party dashboard and offer recommendations on how to increase content interaction.
- Investigate Google Analytics website data and offer recommendations on how to improve performance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in journalism, marketing, communications or PR.
- Minimum 3 years experience creating multimedia content and managing social media profiles for a business.
- Effective marketing, PR and journalism experience is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of a healthcare field or other work in the healthcare environment preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in the business use of social media channels including (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and others).
- Excellent writing skills, ideally developed either in pursuit.
- Deep understanding of web and social media best practices.
- Expert working knowledge of using Google Analytics as well as an ability to collect and interpret data.
- Strong working skills in using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Wide knowledge of photo editing and/or graphic design software (Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Strong experience with video editing software preferred but not mandatory.
- Superb communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff including senior management.
- Ability to work under stress, due to frequent deadlines and unanticipated scope changes.
