Public Relations and Social Media Assistant Manager

UPS is looking for a Public Relations and Social Media Assistant Manager in Singapore, Singapore. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate with corporate, region, district and country stakeholders to develop and implement public relations, and social media strategies and programs.
  • Improve and implement multi-platform communications and messaging strategies.
  • Communicate with brief vendors and agency partners on local business priorities and manage the regional agency to enable them to deliver on committed PR plans, including social media plans.
  • Promote PR materials i.e. press releases, messaging documents, Q&As, speeches, presentations, byline articles.
  • Draft messaging in times of issues and crisis management and coordinate approvals through the necessary stakeholders.
  • Supervise region and country communications budgets; track expenditures against financial targets.
  • Design, develop and post content on digital and social media platforms, manage online communities, and drive conversations that encourage community interaction.
  • Produce guidance and training in the countries in public relations and social media initiatives.
  • Control press related events in Asia Pacific Region i.e. press conferences, media briefings, media familiarization trips, executive interviews.

 Job Requirements:

  • Possess a diploma or degree in public relations, communications, journalism or marketing.
  • At least 5 years of corporate communications, public relations, social, digital communications experience, developed either in-house or in an agency environment.
  • Effective experience in public relations and/or social media with a sound awareness of traditional media and social media environments in Asia.
  • Great level of written and spoken Mandarin or another Asian language is preferred to liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders based across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Strong English writing skills and impeccable verbal and presentation skills.
  • Solid project management and budget management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter and innovator with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured and multi-national environment while also working independently with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work with stakeholders across multiple-levels, and a team player who can pull together cross-functional groups to work towards accomplishing projects.
  • Ability to develop and write compelling and creative content and communicate clearly.
