Senior Software Engineer

Demonware is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Dublin, Ireland. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce leadership and technical direction on the various products owned by the Citadel team including A/B Testing and IAM.
  • Support demonware’s standards of reliability and quality by using best practices in software engineering and modular design.
  • Manage problems and projects which require in-depth evaluation.
  • Communicate with game studios on feature implementation, ensuring their requirements are met in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Assure all components are highly scalable, maintainable, and monitored.
  • Delegate, coach and mentor other team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years software development experience.
  • Effective knowledge of Python or the ability to learn it quickly.
  • Solid background in open source and Linux environments.
  • Deep experience with MySQL, Cassandra or other database technologies.
  • Proficient understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong experience with continuous integration and agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing A/B testing and/or IAM systems.
  • Advanced understanding of modern gameplay designs for AAA games.
  • Ability to engage with both game designers and software engineers.
  • High ability to analyze requirements and make corresponding design decisions.
