Job Responsibilities:

• Draft and implementation of new backend services on Linux / AWS using python, sqlalchemy and flask amongst other technologies.
• Operate closely with product management to understand requirements and design of new product features.
• Architect and implement solutions throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements all the way to deployment
• Estimate and select new technology.
• Enhance the performance of existing services.
• Conduct additional job-related duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

• CS/Engineering or maths degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in commercial application development with shipped products.
• Effective experience in python, sqlalchemy, flask and/or AWS with demonstrated ability to implement large-scale systems.
• Expert knowledge of Ruby or Java who is willing to dive into Python.
• Proficient Linux admin experience.
• Proven track record in scaling up application services on AWS or similar platform.
• Ability to work in medium-sized teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
