Job Responsibilities:
- Improve a strategic social media marketing plan and its associated budget across campaigns and channels.
- Utilize social media to strategically build awareness of WFP USA, create attention and generate support in the U.S market.
- Drive and manage CEO Twitter account.
- Operate to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media marketing plans that connect with supporters, maximize engagement and create significant social sharing.
- Direct the development and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live action and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given social media and digital platform.
- Build a consistent organic revenue stream.
- Provide thought leadership on ways to reach and gain the attention of target audiences.
- Design and manage campaign executions, on time, on a budget, to scope.
- Plan and implement best-practices and measurement tools that provide enhanced opportunities to engage audiences.
- Cooperate effectively with other groups within WFP USA and UN WFP.
- Build, maintain, and implement digital marketing and editorial calendars.
- Lead day-to-day messaging, posts, maintain effective, cohesive, and engaging brand messaging.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on growth and user engagement.
- Keep up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of how to use social media to strategically build brands and create attention.
- Effective experience in Salesforce Social Studio and Track Maven.
- Proven track record in using CMS systems, Google Analytics and/or other web analytics software tools.
- Proficient experience working on social media within an organization with a global mission, nonprofit environment.
- Expert understanding of data and measurement.
- Extremely creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate, particularly on Instagram.
- Interested in solving global hunger and be inspired by the prospect of growing the audience awareness of WFP USA.
- Solid writing, copy-editing and proofreading skills on short deadlines, and able to effectively deal with competing priorities and deadlines.
