Africa Is the 2nd Region of Mobile Unique Subscribers in 2016 | GSMA

The number of mobile unique subscribers in Africa reached 557 M by the end of 2015 with penetration 46% and it is expected to reach 725 million in 2020 with 6% average annual growth between 2015 and 2020, that makes Africa the second largest region behind the Asia Pacific.

Mobile broadband subscribers in the region reached 28% by the end of 2015, and it’s expected to be tripled over the next five years to reach almost 60%.
