The proportion of internet users in Arab States reached 41.6%, while The proportion of internet users in Africa, including Morocco and South Africa, reached 25.1% by the end of Q2 2016.

The growth in internet usage in The Middle East region reached 73% in 2015, compared to 44% in 2010. 87% of internet users in the Middle East are aged between 15 and 24 years, while 51% of MENA internet users are aged more than 45 years.

During the second quarter 2016, the mobile subscribers in Oman increased to reach 6,657,575 subscribers. But the mobile penetration decreased to be 151% in 2016 compared to 152% in 2015.

It’s clear to notice the higher internet penetration for males all over the worlds’ regions. The internet penetration for males all over the world reached 51.1% compared to 44.9 % for females. In Arab States the internet penetration for males reached 46.1% compared to 36.9 for females.
