Job Responsibilities:
- Perform the social media strategy for ’60 Minutes’ on all relevant accounts and channels with the appropriate tone of voice, frequency and moderation.
- Cooperate with producers and reporters in the creation and publication of relevant, original, shareable and high-quality video content and ‘Extra Minutes’.
- Grow audience social media reach and engagement for all 60 Minutes content.
- Promote referral traffic to relevant digital assets.
- Support social media community management and moderation standards as per network strategy.
- Complete 60 Minutes brand social media marketing campaigns.
- Aid in the management of 60 Minutes digital assets including the official website.
- Improve and proactively share insights and reports with 60 Minute’s executive producer and the broader social, video, editorial and marketing teams.
Job Requirements:
- Effective experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficient experience in broadcast news and/or digital news.
- Deep knowledge of all social media platforms, including emerging social and marketing trends.
- Proven track record in working with social media platforms for a business or brand preferable.
- Demonstrated understanding of CMS/VMS systems (website management and curation).
- Familiarity with using a camera and basic lighting and sound equipment (preferred).
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, including excellent use of correct spelling and grammar.
- Sound organized with strong attention to detail.
- Great interest in news and current affairs.
- Ability to analyze, review and report on the effectiveness of content and audience sentiment.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and full working rights in Australia.
