Social Media Manager

Digital Gurus is looking for a Social Media Manager in Sydney, Australia. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing the various brand’s communities, responding to community requests and messages as well as escalating internally if required.
  • Participate in the development of the brand’s annual social media strategy.
  • Organize and produce the social blog and content calendars.
  • Coordinate and deliver follower acquisition activities, promotions and competitions.
  • Work as brand guardian working with various teams across design, marketing, content to ensure brand perception and essence are consistently communicated.
  • Define and create a unique tone of voice for clients and be confident in crafting the brand voice online and via communities.
  • Cooperate with an experienced digital performance marketer helping to execute and optimize all paid social campaigns.
  • Aid with key Google campaigns- analyzing campaign results to determine successes.
  • Champion all community management for the brand, driving community and customer engagement across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube and Snapchat
  • Lead all social media content from running photoshoots and requirements, as well as video content.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline ideally business marketing or communications.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar social media or marketing role ideally within an agency environment working across a variety of brands.
  • Demonstrated digital media understanding SEO, SEM, Paid Media.
  • Effective Adobe Creative suite experience –at minimum basic Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Solid communicator, written and verbal, able to communicate ideas and have a solution-focused attitude.
  • A genuine passion for content creation and social media, you will be knowledgeable across a range of social platforms and ideally have been exposed to some social media monitoring tools.
  • Be confident to suggest new ideas and ways of working, ideally willing to test out new social platforms and ways of engaging with audiences.
  • Be highly organized and process driven.
