Although 87% of businesses now use video as a marketing tool, video still hasn’t reached the saturation point, with 63% of marketers reported that they were using video to promote their business in 2017. This percentage had risen to 81% in 2018. And in the last 12 months, the figure has risen again to reach 87%.

This report includes statistics around usage, spending, effectiveness, consumer perceptions, the latest trends – and some pretty surprising data that challenges the common consensus around the importance of vertical video.
Data is based on a survey of 613 unique respondents included both marketing professionals and online consumers. The survey was conducted in December 2018.
