As we can see that age defined travel opportunities last year, however, in 2021, vaccines are set to reopen travel. Based on the travel intentions insights for 2021, 7 in 10 consumers in the US and UK are planning a vacation this year.

  • Based on the chart, 81% of Gen Z took a vacation last year. On the other side, 6% of Gen Z have already booked for this year.
  • 79% of Millennials took a vacation last year, but only 12% have already booked for this year.
  • Along with 74% of Gen X who took a vacation last year, however, only 10% have already booked for this year.
  • Moreover, 71% of Boomers took a vacation last year. On the other hand, 13% have already booked for this year.

What Travel Brands Need to Know?

  • However, 45% of vacationers have some ideas and doing research.
  • As for 18% of vacationers, they have planned where they’re going, but not yet booked.
  • Only 10% have booked one or more trips already.
