SEO Executive

River Island is looking for an SEO Executive. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the UK and international backlink profiles (offsite SEO), ensuring actions are taken to fix any issues.
  • Perform the UK and international onsite optimization for nominated departments.
  • Educate social, content and PR teams about the role of SEO in their work.
  • Manage external agencies as required to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support the SEO manager in overarching SEO strategy.
  • Monitor competitor and authoritative influencers activity, ensuring relevant insights are communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed keyword research and ensure keyword calendars are kept up to date.
  • Assist the SEO manager to ensure technical requirements are scoped and worked through with the IT team.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of SEO experience preferably in a retail environment.
  • Effective understanding of how SEO integrates with PPC or experience running integrated SEO and PPC campaigns.
  • Deep working experience with SEO tools such as (Brightedge, Botify and similar tools).
  • Advanced knowledge of performing routine SEO tasks including (keyword research, metadata recommendations and content development).
  • Proficient understanding of auditing websites from an SEO perspective using leading tools and providing optimization recommendations.
  • Expert working knowledge of technical SEO.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent project management and delegation skills.
