Job Responsibilities:

• Analysis, gather and curate relevant information for nationally and regionally televised professional and collegiate sporting events.
• Connect to our internal sports database for relevant information to help create descriptions.
• Draft the sporting event descriptions based on information gathered.
• Design edit descriptions based on Gracenote’s internal and external standards.
• Support editorial department leads with special tasks as they arise.

Job Requirements:

• Secondary diploma with a focus in journalism preferred.
• Minimum 1-year experience in an editorial environment.
• Effective knowledge of North American based professional sports leagues; international sports knowledge a plus.
• Proficient experience and skills working with (MS Excel).
• Solid analytical skills.
• High ability to work flexible hours and evening shifts.
• Great ability to work with and meet deadlines and to work well in a team environment.
