Senior Social Media Editor

Rogers Communications is looking for a Senior Social Media Editor in Toronto, Canada. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve, support and maintain FLARE’s social media strategy.
  • Provide daily story ideas and resurface existing content based on what is trending.
  • Increasing engagement and referral rates across platforms.
  • Support FLARE tone across all platforms.
  • Promote, mentor and oversee the work of FLARE’s social media assistant and/or social media intern.
  • Separate metrics and adapt overall digital content strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate with marketing lead on Search Engine Marketing and social boosting.
  • Collect and analyze monthly traffic reports.
  • Advance SEO strategy for major FLARE initiatives such as our annual #HowIMadeIt list.
  • Supervise sponsored posts for sales and the branded content group.
  • Assure that FLARE surpasses its 2018 social goals.

Job Requirements:

  • A post-secondary degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, at a major agency or brand.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as HootSuite, Chartbeat, Omniture, BuzzSumo, CrowdTangle and Google Analytics.
  • Effective experience to nimbly switch strategies based on minute-by-minute metrics analysis.
  • Proficient knowledge of WordPress and Photoshop.
  • Deep understanding of native analytics tools across all major social media platforms.
  • Solid drive, an initiative and management skills.
  • Interested to embrace change with a positive, can-do attitude.
