Job Responsibilities:
- Produce continuous assessment and potential improvement of organic, direct and referral traffic performance to teams across the organization.
- Process raw web and SEO data points with science-backed analysis to better understand trends and gaps, to which you will draw insight into traffic, visibility, backlinks and KPI metrics, clearly presenting your recommendations in a meaningful and actionable manner.
- Oversee weekly and monthly keyword rankings and traffic and clearly reporting on influencing factors.
- Confidently guess future projections as well as post-measuring the success of implemented SEO recommendations and campaigns using web analytics and SEO management tools.
- Enhance making on-page recommendations for a variety of content types including web articles and landing pages, infographics, video and mobile devices according to SEO principles.
- Highlight contextual linking opportunities to ensure PageRank is evenly distributed in /Travel and site-wide.
- Estimate the travel backlink profile and segmenting findings.
- Automate SEO analysis and tasks where feasible, via tools and/or spreadsheets.
- Make recommendations for content development in coordination with SEO goals.
- Prioritize recommendations based on ROI to help meet business goals, not to tick SEO boxes.
- Surface any issues impacting projects/BAU to Head of SEO and content in a timely manner.
- Maintain pace with new SEO techniques as well as a search engine, social media and digital marketing industry updates and developments, with knowledge on their impact on SEO.
- Provide learnings and contribute to SEO and content team meetings, as well as a wider team and stakeholder meetings where required.
- Cooperate within the performance marketing team as well as other business units including trading, technology and audience & insight departments.
Job Requirements:
- Effective experience in analyzing big data sets across organic web traffic and many points of SEO data (organic visitor behavior, search volume trends, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, backlink profiles, site health analysis).
- Familiarity with using web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, desirable) and SEO tools.
- Expert knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets (Charting, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas and Filters).
- Demonstrated understanding of SEO best practice, web server codes, algorithms and the process of search engine spidering, crawling and indexing.
- Deep knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Proven track record in working for a publishing house or large website would be beneficial, with travel industry experience desirable.
- Outstanding working knowledge of Javascript.
- Proficient experience in achieving and measuring commercial KPIs (e.g. qualifying traffic and lead-generation).
- Strong skills in thorough keyword research and monitoring keyword performance.
- Proposing SEO recommendations at scale based on quantified justification to drive traffic uplift.
- Solid ability to clearly and effectively explain complex SEO issues and problem-solve.
