Job Responsibilities:
- Create and proactively manage a social media content calendar that supports growing brand awareness and specific campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communication team to develop content and graphics to support press releases and campaigns.
- Proofread digital content for proper grammar and spelling to ensure alignment of language, tone, voice and style with CFIB’s guidelines.
- Primary point of contact for all follower questions and feedback on social media.
- Engage and interact with (fans, followers, influencers and publications).
- Encourage follower collaboration that will garner press and extend brand engagement with (likes, shares and dialogue).
- Develop reoccurring meaningful reports on social media efforts, utilize digital analytics and reporting tools to measure and share content results and share results with key stakeholders.
- Strategically repurpose content created by various CFIB teams.
- Maintain consistent social tone, persona and visual look and feel.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, media studies or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in social media strategy, execution and community management.
- Advanced experience in managing content on social media sites including (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram).
- Deep working knowledge of using various social media scheduling and reporting tools.
- Effective understanding of social community platforms and best practices.
- Basic experience with graphics designing tools such as (Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Basic knowledge of using video editing tools like (iMovie maker) is an asset.
- Solid working skills of using MS Office and Google Docs.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofing and presentation skills.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with short turnarounds in a fast-paced working environment.
