81% of Middle Eastern Internet Users Visited an Online Retail Site or Store in March 2017 | GlobalWebIndex

With the breaking news about Amazon-Souq deal, The Middle East e-commerce market proved its vitality and the potential opportunities it may bring. The Recent survey revealed that about 81% of the Middle Eastern internet users might be visiting online retail sites, however, those who actually bought products are then only about 52%.

In terms of the actual online purchasing; the Middle East lags behind all other regions that are led by Asia Pacific with about 81% of users had purchased a product online in March 2017, followed by Europe & North America (73%), then Latin America (65%).
