Social media sites are good assistants for more than a quarter of back-to-school shoppers in the US. 27% planned to use social media sites to aid them in their back to school (BTS/B2S) shopping.
Three-quarters of them assumed they use social media sites mainly to view ads or promotions. Receiving coupons ranked the second of social media uses with a rate of 64%, followed by browsing products (43%) and reading reviews or recommendations (40%).
