  • In 2019, 87% of businesses reported use video as a marketing tool. However, in 2020, the percentage faced a slight decrease and became 85%.

  • 92% of marketers who use videos say that it is an important part of their marketing strategy.
  • With a high percentage of 99% of people who use videos for marketing mentioned that they will continue using video in 2020.
  • 92% of video marketers feel the level of noise and competition has increased in the last year.
  • 46% of first-time video marketers said that they started using video last year because they believe it is easier to create video content in-house.
  • Along with, 18% of first-time video marketers started using video in 2019 because they feel clearer about the ROI of video.

Talking about the importance of video, and how marketers should take that into consideration, in light of that, marketers were asked about how do they plan to use videos in 2020.

The chart below shows that as expected YouTube continues to be the primary social media channel for video marketing with a percentage of 88%, Facebook comes in second place with a percentage of 76%, finally, followed by LinkedIn with a percentage of 66%.
